These are my favorite amigurumi pattern books EVER!!!
They are the reason I didn't quit Crochet!
The patterns are super easy, great for beginners, and they are sooo CUTE!
It was thanks to "Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet" that I made something decent for the first time. Making Amigurumi has become my hobby ever since I made my first little turtle!

Materials
- Black, White, and Brown yarn
- F hook
- Black embroidery Floss
- Tapestry needle
- Red felt
- fabric glue
- 1 pipe cleaner

Hat
R1: Ch 2, 7 sc in second ch from hook.
R2: 2 sc in each sc around. (14 sts)
R3: * Sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 7 times, sl st. (21 sts)

R4: Ch 21, sl st to first ch.
R5: sc around. (21 sts)
R6-R16: sc around.

R17: Through front loops only, * Sc 2, 2 sc in next sc* rep 7 times. (28 sts)
R18: * Sc 3, 2 sc in next sc* rep 7 times. (35 sts)
R19: * Sc 4, 2sc in next sc* rep 7 times. (42 sts)
Fasten off, and weave ends.

Head
R1: Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook.
R2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sts)

Details:
-Cut a piece of red felt, 6" by 1", glue this rectangle around the hat.
- Embroider the face, and sew the head to the hat.
- To make Pipe: take a pipecleaner and wrap it around your finger then glue brown yarn around it. After it is dry, glue the Pipe to the head.

I like it but my laptop DOES NOT FIT!!!

Gave Ichigo Daifuku a Try an Failed :(

I made Ichigo Daifuku last week Sunday, it didn’t taste good, I thought I followed directions to the dot.
This is what I think went wrong:

The Anko “Sweet bean paste” came from a can. It didn’t taste very sweet and it wasn’t the right consistency, too runny.
The Mochi dough wasn’t very sweet either I need to add more sugar.

Next time I am going to make the Anko paste myself, I found the receipt online, it doesn’t seem too hard to make.

The balls of Daifuku didn’t look very good either; I kept burning my hands because I didn’t leave the dough to cool long enough. I am going to give it a try one more time and I will post a picture even if they don’t look so hot ^^.

This is Ichigo’s Hollow Mask from the Anime Series Bleach. I made it with Paper Mache and painted with acrylic paints. It is really easy to make, all you need is some all newspaper, and water & flour to make the paste. It only has two layers but it is very strong and light weight.

First Tutorial Ever

The teens at the library i work at have an Anime/Manga club, usually i go around and sneak a peak at what they are up to and help out. This time they are creating a blog for the club and i am assigned to write in a section called Otaku Crafts Time.

My role is to teach the teens in the club how to sew and craft. If you are a fan of Anime/Manga then most likely know about cosplay and want to get into the fun, costumes and accessories are pretty expensive so the next best thing is to make your own at home.

This is my first tutorial, it is pretty simple because you don't need a lot of materials and requires very basic sewing skill.

They will be making an Onigiri (riseball) Keychain, i choose to make a riseball because they are cute and all anime lovers know that they are anime characters favorite food.

Little Big Planet is my Boyfriends favorite new game and since i had some polimer clay left over i made him and his friends SackBoy keychains....I just gave them to him yesterday on Valentine's Day and he was really impressed with my skills hehehe...i was really happy that he liked them because i was starting to think i gave him a crappy Valentine's gift.

Pretty Green Scarf

I made this scarf over the weekend, i got the pattern off the back of a Skein rapper...here are some pictures...

The pattern said to use a N/15 hook but i don't have one so instead i an used I/9 hook...the scarf came out smaller but i like it that size better...

The color is "Frosty Green Flecks" and i like it a lot...i think i have enough left to make myself a hat with the same color.

I showed it to my DBF and he liked it and said that he would ware it in Spain...YAY!!!

Christmas Wreath

Our workstation is small so we cant put much, i was asked to make a wreath and this is what i came up with...

Zipper Pouch for Mom

My mom's birthday was last week....i have no money and she knows it since she is now paying for most of my bills......wahaaa....oh well so i made her a gift....it is a zipper pouch for her pencils, she goes to nurse school...I drew the flower transfered it to white fabric and then embroidered it on the pouch, it took me a while to do and my finger were full of wholes when i was done, i am not very good at embroidery.

It took a while but i finished making my Lolita Outfit just in time for Halloween....I made the semi vest, and the skirt i didn't make the shirt because i hate sewing sleeves!!!...the vest is the color green with little skull and bones.

I had to wear it twice but i didn't want to look the same so the second time i wore it i changed it around to look like a pirate.

I liked how it came out and so did my coworkers they thought i looked really cute ^^ YAY

Skull and Bones Semi Vest

I have done it...I made a Vest!

This vest is going to be a part of my Lolita outfit for Halloween...

To tell the truth i have no idea what type of Lolita I'll end up begin...initially i wanted to be a EGL but now that I'm going to ware this vest i will look more like a Punk or Pirate Lolita...

Oh well that doesn't matter.....as long as it follows the basic Lolita rules...

The fabric is green with little white skulls and bones all over, its cute but crappy as hell, very difficult to work with...
This is the first time i make a vest and used the NEWLOOK 6839 pattern...altered it a bit.....

I didn't think that making buttonholes would be the hardest and most painful part of making this vest....after i was done my hand hurt and my fingers were all red...they came out odd looking anyway, but they work so thats what matters...

Now that i am done making the vest on to the skirt...

Last month school stared again, and its starting to suck. I like the classes I have this semester but my EDG and EME professor is killing me with homework. I have to write 3 essays every week all due on Saturdays.

I don't mind writing, the problem is that I have to read these massive articles in order to write the reflections, when I say massive I mean 42 to 62 pages long each....thats too much information!!!! That plus any other assignments that he gives us during class.

I also have 2 other classes that I need to do assignments for.

It sucks ass!!! I don't have time to do anything.

Next month in like 3 weeks the Cosplay Contest at my job is on and I haven't even started on my costume and I'm a judge, I have to start soon or I wont finish in time!!!

I'm gonna go as an Elegant Gothic Lolita this time, I'm making a skirt, a corset, and a little top hat.

If i can anyway.

Little Rooster

Here is my second try at crochet, its a Little Rooster, i made it a bit ago...the pattern is at this website Here...The pattern is to make a little chicken but i gave it a tail so mine is a rooster....

To make the tail i just used the pattern for the crest, made 3 and sewed it on his butt...hehe...I used felt to make the beak and the legs...Its small about the size of the palm of my hand.

Kick Ass Amirugumi Kitty

Over the weekend i finally learned how to crochet....I have always wanted to learn and my resent discovery of the Amirugumi just exited me the more.

So i looked online for tutorials and i found this awesome website were i learned everything i needed to know, to make my very first Amirugumi. Here

And after a lot of hard work i came up with this cute little kitty:

Oh and if you are wondering why my kitty has a sour face, well originally it was because he tried to do a slip and hurt himself....but

He kinda looked like he was posing so, the story now is that he is a Konfu master and he is doing some kick ass moves...hehe

I'm very proud of my first Amirugumi, i really didn't think i could finish it but i did and I'm very happy with it.

This little kitty is going to be another gift for a friend,her birthday was last week...yea, i know a lot of people that were born on August.

I hope she likes it.

So like on Monday I was really bored and I searched “Felt Kitty” on Google Image, and found this website with a tutorial on this really cute and easy Kitty. Link Here

I made one along with a felt heart cell phone charm here is a picture:

I took them to work and showed them to the kids I work with, they loved them and some of the girls wanted to learn how to make them.

And when i had a chance after work I taught them how.

They started on them but didn’t finish since most of them had little experience sewing. I had fun teaching them how to make them so next time I’ll teach them how to make something else.

Fairy Jewelry Box

So this weeks project is a gift for a little girl, my friends little girl, Sam. Her Birthday wasn't long ago and i didn't get to give her a birthday gift so i made this for her. Its supposed to be a jewelry box, her mom told me she needed one.

The box is made of an old book, i cut out the inside then i painted a forest on the cover and the inside with acrylic paints.

This was a fun project because i got to paint, i hadn't painted anything in a while.
It is also a great way of recycling old books, i work at a library so i can get as many old book as i want. The next book related project is a purse, I'm going to make a purse of a book. It sounds kool.

I gave it to her mom and she liked it a lot i hope Sam likes it as much as her mom did...

Batman Goodbye Gift

Yay, it is done, The Batman plush toy is finished. My fingers hurt from getting pinched by the needle so much. This is my second time making a plush, the first time I made a plush toy I usedfelt, this time I used old t-shirts as fabric and it was way harder to sew.

This time the plush is a goodbye gift, a friend at work is moving next week and I’m giving the Batman to him.

He saw the Flash I made and wanted me to make him a Batman if I could. I hope hi likes it because I put a lot of effort into making it.

The other day I was in a lot of trouble and with the help of two of my coworkers I was able to get out of it. I wanted to give them something to thank them for all their help so I decided to make them something myself.

For my female coworker I made this:

I altered the book’s cover and cut out a secrete compartment, so she can stash goodies there. I picked the color green because it’s her favorite color. She liked it a lot and she is now using it to stash chocolate at work. He he he.

For my male coworker I made this:

It’s a Flash plush. He told me once that he loved The Flash so I tried making him a plush toy. It didn’t come out like I wanted to, his arms are a bit too small, and his a little chubby, but was my first time making a plush toy.

He liked it anyways, he thought it was hilarious. I sent him a picture of it to his Myspace and my little Flash is now his profile picture ha ha ha.

Halloween 2007 Lolita

Its not recent but i have to post it because i am very proud of it. This project was my very first big project and my first dress. Last year for halloween i decided to make a Sweet Lolita dress for a Cosplay Contest at the Library i work at. I was to be the judge so i wanted to make an impression. So with much help from my moms awesome sewing skills i was able to finish it. I thought it came out very kool.

I used a Simplicity Costumes for Adults pattern and modified it to my liking ^^.

It took us a while to make, like a month, since i am a beginner at sewing and the expert (mom) was always too busy to help ><.
